Komeya No Bento: Reviews & Ratings
The strawberry matcha latte: the strawberry puree was more vibrant and had a good consistency. the milk and matcha cream, together, almost tasted a hint of coconut in it. when mixed altogether, the overall consistency was really really good. kiss of matcha sometimes just overdoes their matcha, their puree was just… sweet with not much balance. the duck karaage was very greasy. it was very hard to chew and rip apart. the sauce was… okay. the duck bento was nothing special. the sides were boring. the seasoning on the duck was lackluster. not worth it for the price
The bento boxes were worth trying, but I wouldn’t come back for them. Aside from looking appealing, the flavors didn’t really stand out. That said, their matcha is a different story. I’ve gone back many times just for it. I’ve tried the strawberry, mango, red bean, and mochi matcha, along with the regular matcha latte, and they hit the spot every time. Easy 10/10 for the matcha drinks.
kinda expensive, but super pretty and aesthetic. pretty small sitting area, but that’s okay it was nice to go to a nearby park and eat outside. mango matcha was pretty milky, a little too much cream with minimal matcha flavor. bentos were suuuuper good! i loved the little sides that came with. would’ve liked a little more salmon, but the duck breast was SO juicy and flavorful.
Wait time is crazy, prices are high, but the presentation is always great and I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried from this place. I’ve found so far that the food has been a bit too cold, but it’s always beautifully presented and tastes great. The corn if you’re lucky enough to get it might be my favorite part. The strawberry matcha is a dessert in itself, and I recommend adding the mochi. Best sweet matcha anything I’ve gotten before
Wow this place is crowded and understaffed. The workers try their best but the place is just too small and too busy. I ordered online to not have to wait so long, but you still need to wait as the organization for ready orders are not so great. Yes, the food was delicious and beautifully presented and the matcha pretty good but don’t think it’s worth another visit due to the hassle or wait. It’s definitely a to-go type of place since there is no indoor seating also, or if there is it’s hidden and full by people standing and waiting.
Very busy but we ordered online. Worth the wait and LOVED the bento boxes. Matcha was def a plus Might need some help with line filtering or keeping the peace, seemed chaotic but perhaps that’s just the weekend matcha rush
I have been wanting to try their bento and macha for a long time. they always have a line outside. this time i made it. the macha is thick. next time i will order without the strawberry paste. I ordered duck bento for food and it looks so cute. it is slightly spicy. next time i will come bk and try their bento salmon one - it is sold out already :(
Small place, super packed! So the long wait is to be expected! The presentation and taste of the bento was over the top! However, I did find a piece of hair at the bottom of my bento towards the end that sort of lost my appetite. I really really enjoyed everything in the bento but I was so devastated that I couldnt finish it
